About

Blog disclosure is on the bottom of this page.

First off, welcome to to this beer blog! Orange County California has quite a unique beer culture. There are quality breweries, brewpubs, homebrew clubs, and gastropubs that are all aces. There are festivals, brewery anniversary parties, beer release events, private tastings, or some dude in Anaheim that just got done mowing his lawn and cracked a beer. This blog encompasses all of that.

The intended audience is anyone who enjoys drinking good beer. From beer geek aficionados to a casual person trying to pick apart the local Vons beer section. I cuss though, a lot. I’m really fucking sorry about that. Beer reviews on this site are a rarity. I don’t like to read them and don’t like to write them. Beer should speak for itself.

About me: I don’t really like to talk about myself. The Internet already has enough self-indulgent blogs. I’m here to write about beer in OC in a gonzo-journalistic way. That’s it! I’m not a beer snob by any means. I don’t consider myself to be an expert, although I did pass the Cicerone Beer Server exam without studying. I’m simply a guy that loves to brew beer, drink beer, and write. I also really enjoy the company it brings!

Sit back, grab a local brew, and crack that fucker…lets drink! Cheers!

    • Hi Diane! Very nice meeting you guys as well! The beerfest sounds great! Have a good time…remember to drink water! I always forget at festivals.

  1. Hola Greg!
I am on the lookout now for your beer reviews to help guide my palate. I have to say the hands-down winner for me yesterday in San Diego was the Indra Kanundra at Ballast. Wow, what verve and sass with those distinctive notes of curry and coconut.

    Keep scribbling,
    Carmen
